GENERAL QUESTIONS
1. What is an FTP site?
An FTP site is simply a storage location somewhere on the Internet where you can quickly and securely upload, download, store, and share any type and size files you would like. The files can be software, movies, drawings, designs, pictures, etc. In addition, the account holder (the person that signs up for the FTP site service) has the ability to create folders, add user, and control all access privileges to the site, it’s users and it’s folders.

2. What does FTP mean?
FTP stands for "File Transfer Protocol." It’s the best and most common way that files are transferred over the Internet. The FTP protocol was specifically developed to the purpose of transferring files.

3. How fast will by FTP site be activated?
Your FTP site will be activated instantly upon submission of your online order. Following the form submission you’ll receive and email that outlines all your access instructions. It will also contain your FTP site username & password, and simple how-to instructions. Please print out a copy of the email and store it in a safe place for future reference.

All our plans have “Soft Storage Caps” which means you can exceed your plan storage limits if you need to. Our goal is to never let your subscribed storage capacity hinder you, your clients, or your vendors from doing business.

7. What does unlimited transfer mean?
Some FTP hosting companies charge not only for the online storage service but also to transfer your files to and from the online FTP site. Unlimited transfer simply means that you can transfer to and from your FTP site without any fees or caps on the data transferred.

8. Will people accessing my new FTP site require any special software?
No – We provide a “Free” web based file transfer utility that can be accessed from any computer that’s connected to the Internet.

9.How reliable is FTP Fast’s network?

PAYMENT & BILLING QUESTIONS
10. Do you offer any type of discounts?
Yes – We offer a 4% discount on all plans that are prepaid for six months, and an 8% discount on all plans that are prepaid for twelve months.

11. What are your setup and hidden fees?
FTP Fast does not have any setup or hidden fees associated with our standard FTP site hosting plans.

12. How do I pay?
We accept all major credit cards and you must sign up and pay for our service online only.

13. How can I pay for the FTP site service?
When signing up for our FTP site hosting services, we only accept credit card payments online via our web site. If a custom services is required (dedicated server, special interface developed, etc.) then we can invoice your company.

14. Will I receive an invoice?
You will only receive an invoice if one is requested. All charges will show up on your monthly credit card statement.

15. Can I purchase a temporary FTP site?
Yes – The shortest period of time is one month. With our low rates you’ll find this to be vary acceptable. Keep in mind that most of our monthly rates are less than one UPS® or  FedEx® overnight shipment.

16. What are your various contract periods?
FTP Fast offers monthly, six-month, and twelve-month contracts. In addition, you can upgrade at any time in order to take advantage of the discounts.

17. Do you accept payment from PayPal?
No we don’t - Sorry! At this time we only accept payment from VISA, Master Card, and Amex.

18. What fees are charged by FTP Fast?
We don’t charge any set up fees or activation fees. The only fees charged are for either the monthly, six-month, or twelve-month FTP site service you sign up for.

19. Can I terminate my FTP Fast account?
Sure you can. Simply send an email to billing@FTPfast.com requesting that we terminate your service. We will then process your termination request. Please note the termination details include in our FTP site agreement.


SYSTEM QUESTIONS
20. If I have multiple users accounts, can one user access another users files?
No. Each user account can only access their own files unless you have granted them permission to access other folders. However, if you’re the administrator, you have full access to all your users folders and files.

21.Does your FTP site service meet HIPAA compliance guidelines?
Yes, our service is HIPAA compliant.

22. Is anonymous FTP allowed on the system?
We do not offer anonymous FTP site service due to the abuse and illegal activity that can occur with such service. We feel that it is in your best interest not to provide this type of service.

23. How many level of users are supported?
We current have two, the site administrator (which is you, the account holder/owner) and your user accounts, the people that you create folders, user names and passwords for.

24. How do I create and manage all my FTP user account?
It really easy! You’ll have access to an online control panel that simple to use and easy to navigate. You are able to add, delete, and mange all your user accounts, and folders with ease.

25. Can I use my own domain name instead of FTP Fast for my FTP site location?
Yes you can! We’ve outlined the simple how-to process in our FTP manual. You’ll have access to it once you sign up. The process is quick and easy.

26. What FTP client software programs if FTP Fast compatible with?
We work just fine with CuteFPT, Fetch (Mac), Voyager, SmartFTP, WS-FTP, to name a few.

27. Can you customize your site with our logo so it looks like our site to our users?
Yes, we would be happy to do it for you. There will be an extra for it but it won’t be much.

28. How many people/users can upload and download files at the same time?
There is no limit to how many people can simultaneous be connected and share files with our FTP sites.

29. Can multiple people use the same username and password at the same time?
Yes – You can have multiple people logged on to your FTP site with the same username and password at the same time.
